About the position
At Intercel, we are shaping the electric future. With our custom-built batteries, we provide solutions for a wide range of applications aimed at the industrial market. Such as excavators, ships and generators. Due to the energy transition, the demand for our batteries is increasing rapidly.
As Service Manager, you will be responsible for setting up and expanding a service organization for our industrial battery solutions. You will develop a customer-oriented service strategy with a focus on building a strong service organization, optimizing service components, providing customer-oriented training, and creating digital solutions such as IoT dashboards.
In this role as Service Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to really shape our service organization. With your strategic vision and entrepreneurship, you will build a team and put the department firmly on the map. You will move effortlessly through the organization, extract valuable knowledge from various departments, and strengthen them with your expertise in electrical engineering within an assembly environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will build and expand a service organization, creating clear processes for customer contact and effective problem resolution.
- Developing a strategy for after-sales services, including sales of service parts, hours, and IoT applications.
- Provide status reports to the management team and advise them on service improvements.
- Develop and implement training programs for clients.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient handling of warranty claims and breakdown reports.
- Ensuring the commercial aspect and customer orientation within the service organization.
- Lead the yet to be assembled team of service personnel.

Who are you?
- Hbo/wo working & thinking level with preferably an education towards electrical or mechanical engineering or similar;
- Minimum of 3 years work experience as a service manager or other similar role;
- You have previously held a position where setting up a service organization has been central;
- You are aware of the latest developments in batteries and in the energy transition;
- Strong leadership skills, communicatively strong, a connector with a pragmatic and positive attitude.
