About the position

Intercel is a leading battery trading house, installer of Emergency Power (UPS) & Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and designs & manufactures customized batteries for the industrial market. With a focus on sustainable applications and increasing electrification, Intercel is currently in a phase of significant growth.

As a buyer, you will have a central role within our organization. You interact daily with suppliers and internal departments. With your expertise, structured approach, strong communication and commercial insight, you are the driving force behind successful procurement processes. You have an eye for detail and are a strong link between Intercel and its suppliers. With your knowledge and experience you work efficiently in a challenging and versatile environment where your contribution really makes a difference.

Your responsibilities:

  • Optimize procurement processes and contribute to process improvements;
  • Maintain supplier contacts on cooperation, delivery times and improvements;
  • Ensure flawless processing and follow-up of purchase orders;
  • Checking order confirmations and monitoring delivery times.

As a buyer at Intercel you will work across all business units, this makes for a varied and challenging work environment.

What do we offer?

  • A salary in the range of €2491 to €4126 (gross per month, based on 40 hours per week);
  • You can work 40 hours but also 36 or 32 hours per week;
  • A contributory pension, 8.5% vacation pay and travel allowance;
  • 28 vacation days, with fine days off between Christmas & New Year & the day after Ascension;

Who are you?

  • HBO working and thinking level gained in education and/or work experience;
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in a procurement role;
  • Good command of both the Dutch and English languages;
  • You live in (the area) of Haarlem and enjoy working in our office;
  • You work accurately, punctually and are stress resistant.
