At Intercel we work with the latest technologies in batteries and energy storage. In this role, you will dive deep into the battery and custom solutions market for our customers and translate these insights into commercial opportunities for Intercel.
About the position
At Intercel, we are shaping the electric future. With our batteries and accessories, we provide solutions to a wide range of applications, ranging from excavators, boats and also (stair) elevators, mobility scooters and robots. What began as a trading house has grown over the past 35 years into a manufacturer of custom-built batteries, where we manage the entire process from design to assembly in-house.
What will you do?
- You identify new leads and convert them into concrete commercial actions, which you coordinate with sales teams.
- You analyze the market, keep a close eye on competitors, and perform cost-benefit analyses that you discuss with sales, purchasing and finance;
- You will delve into segments that could potentially be of interest to Intercel, obtaining information from engineering in order to work with the correct technical specs;
- You translate technological solutions into practical applications and always look for the best solution for both the customer and Intercel;
- You will oversee the proper certification of our products and have foresight on future (technical) developments in the market, ensuring that Intercel always stays ahead;
- You will work for two business units within Intercel, which means you will have a broad scope and manage several projects simultaneously. You always follow a project from A to Z;
Besides the work in the office, you are also curious about what this means for a customer, you go out with colleagues to visit customers and go to trade fairs to reach customers. With your knowledge of what is going on in the market you can make a nice contribution.
For this position, technical knowledge is not a requirement, interest in cleantech is of course important. With your commercial and analytical insight, you know exactly what is needed to make Intercel grow further.

Who are you?
- You have hbo/wo working and thinking level, preferably followed an education in the direction of; technical business administration, international business or commercial economics;
- You have at least 3 years of experience as a business developer (or similar role);
- Demonstrable (basic) knowledge of the technology surrounding energy storage systems complemented by a good dose of motivation to further explore our product;
- You have a command of the Dutch and English languages;
- You are an organizational talent, are good at separating main issues from side issues and enjoy working according to a plan;
- You have a commercial drive, can work well independently and have the power of persuasion.
