Manager Operations
Are you an experienced operations manager who maintains an overview of the entire supply chain? Do you thrive on leading multidisciplinary teams, improving processes and achieving measurable results? And do you have experience in a technical manufacturing environment where quality, delivery reliability and customer satisfaction go hand in hand? Within our Custom Built Division, we are looking for an Operations Manager to further professionalise the operational organisation and prepare it for further growth.
What will you be doing?
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the entire operational chain within Custom Built Energy Systems. You will lead the Service, Production, Logistics and Procurement departments through the relevant team leads and ensure that processes are optimally aligned.
You’ll act as the link between people, processes and results. In doing so, you’ll focus not only on day-to-day operations but, above all, on structural improvements that contribute to quality, efficiency, safety and scalability.
You’ll translate strategic objectives into concrete operational plans and ensure these are successfully implemented. You’ll report to the Head of Custom Built.
Your responsibilities:
- Ultimate responsibility for the management, performance and further development of the Service, Production, Logistics and Procurement departments
- Ensuring efficient capacity and resource planning.
- Improving operational processes, delivery reliability, quality and productivity.
- Monitoring KPIs in areas including OTIF, safety, service performance and stock management.
- Optimising the supply chain and supplier performance.
- Initiating and implementing LEAN and Continuous Improvement projects.
- Drawing up and monitoring operational budgets.
- Developing, coaching and strengthening managers and teams.
- Supporting the business unit’s further growth and international ambitions.
- This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on a growing technical organisation. You will be given responsibility for multiple disciplines within the operational chain and will play a key role in the further professionalisation and growth of Custom Built.
Who are you?
You are a strong and approachable leader who can switch effortlessly between strategy and operations. You know how a technical manufacturing environment works and understand that successful operations revolve around people, processes and data.
You have strong analytical skills, work in a structured manner and are energised by the continuous improvement of organisations. You are also able to bridge different disciplines and build support for change.
In addition, you bring:
- A higher vocational education (HBO) or university (WO) level of working and thinking.
- A technical or business administration qualification.
- At least 10 years’ experience within a technical manufacturing, service or supply chain environment. With at least 5 years’ experience in a managerial role with several team leads reporting directly to you.
- Experience with process optimisation, change programmes and organisational growth.
- Knowledge of LEAN, Operational Excellence and ERP systems.
- Experience with KPI-driven management and data-driven decision-making.
What do we offer?
- An indicative salary of between €6,000 and €8,000 gross per month on a full-time basis, depending on experience.
- A company-leased electric car, laptop and mobile phone.
- 24 days’ annual leave on a full-time basis, plus 5 additional days off on day after Ascension Day and between Christmas and New Year.
- A key role within a growing and ambitious organisation where you will have a direct influence on operational performance and the organisation’s continued professional development.
- Plenty of scope to further develop and improve processes, teams and working methods.
- A dynamic working environment where technology, innovation and entrepreneurship come together.
- An informal, entrepreneurial organisation with short lines of communication and committed colleagues.
- A pleasant working environment with a daily team lunch, fun social gatherings and enjoyable outings with colleagues.
