About the position
As a Service Engineer Energy Storage for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), you will be responsible for testing, optimizing and commissioning energy storage systems.
Within your position you will deal with hardware and software. In Haarlem you will pre-assemble our systems and make them ready for installation at the customer, you will work according to safety protocols and document (internally & externally to the customer) the steps made. You will then work with an experienced commissioning engineer to install the systems at the customer’s site. The energy storage systems you will be installing are extensive projects. You will be on location with the customer for a few days at a time, often in the Netherlands and sometimes in other European countries.
As a Service Engineer, you also play an important role in the area of safety. Working neatly and safely suits you (lead by example) and calling people to account for deviant behavior is not a problem for you. Finally, you are a self-starter, you are inventive and proactively seek solutions. You secure practical experience and knowledge gained within the organization by documenting it and sharing it within team meetings.
Your duties include:
- You will install hardware and software and make connections between various components of the system, such as: the battery, inverter, BMS and EMS;
- You monitor technical specifications and prepare maintenance reports;
- You will identify and resolve any technical problems or anomalies discovered during testing or at customer sites;
- You will ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards during the commissioning process.

- A challenging position for 40 hours per week: Monday through Friday in day shifts;
- A good salary between €2,600 and 3,600 (gross per month based on a 40-hour work week);

Who are you?
- You have mbo working & thinking level with educational background in electrical engineering or similar;
- You are able to read electrical schematics, you have knowledge of tools because you have experience tinkering with equipment, cars or other systems;
- You are inventive and proactive in addressing problems (including responding to local environment, breakdowns);
- You enjoy contributing to building the department in a startup environment;
- You have a good command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing and you have a driving license B.
