Account Manager Electrification

Do you feel at home in a technical B2B environment and enjoy being out and about visiting customers? You will build and expand a customer base by selling our sustainable application in the role of Account Manager Electrification.

About the position

With the energy transition and the need for our sustainable application, Intercel is in a growth phase with our new unit Electrification developing rapidly. For more than 35 years Intercel has been a battery salesman and installer of UPS systems and 5 years ago we set up our business unit ‘Electrification’. This is growing fast and therefore to expand the sales team we have a challenging job of account manager available.

You have experience in a commercial field sales role in a technical B2B environment and are ready for the next step. You like to find and bind new customers, you do this by calling, visiting and attending fairs, whatever works for you. Of course you get all the freedom you need. You build long-term relationships. You work a lot together with the office staff and engineering. Occasionally you will be at our office in Haarlem or work from home, but most of the time you will be with customers. You are an indispensable link between our customers and our company.

Some of your duties include:

  • You proactively approach potential customers and know how to find out their needs in a people-oriented and accurate way;
  • You will advise these customers on various issues related to batteries, energy storage, chargers, inverters and related accessories;
  • With existing relationships, you investigate commercial opportunities (up-selling and cross-selling opportunities).
  • You will identify potential for each segment through market analysis and analyze where expansion opportunities exist.

You will increase Intercel’s market share, recognize opportunities and respond with a suitable solution. You will gradually acquire knowledge of our products and you can always ask (technical) colleagues. More important is your commercial drive and responding to the needs of our customers.

Who are you?

  • You have hbo working and thinking level and at least 5 years of experience in a commercial (field sales) position;
  • You are in possession of driver’s license B;
  • You have a keen interest in technology and the energy transition, you are up to date with the latest developments;
  • Entrepreneurship characterizes your actions. You have the drive to always take that one extra step and be on the ball at short notice;
  • You are communicatively strong and recognize commercial opportunities immediately;
  • You have an excellent command of both the Dutch and English languages.
