About the position
At Intercel, we know everything there is to know about batteries and energy storage. With more than 35 years of experience, we have become the specialist in this industry. with three different business units, we market our cleantech product in different ways.
As an Account Manager Batteries, you will deliver the best fitting batteries to our customers. What makes this so fun and challenging? We work with companies in all different sectors. There is a lot of variety and we are always growing and innovating. At Intercel, you are the driving force behind our customer relationships and partnerships.
With your experience and commercial instinct, you will be our organization’s calling card and you will directly shape Intercel’s growth. You see opportunities in the market and know how to respond independently with smart solutions that help our customers move forward. Your focus is on tapping into new segments, where your experience and customer orientation make the difference.
A strong team dynamic comes from working with other account managers and inside sales. You also interact a lot with procurement and regularly spar with sales from other business units.
Your duties include:
- You proactively approach potential customers by calling or visiting leads. You enjoy taking the initiative to open doors that previously seemed closed;
- You will advise these customers on various technical issues related to batteries, energy storage, chargers, inverters and related accessories;
- With existing relationships, you proactively seek commercial opportunities, specifically identifying and exploiting new opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling;
- You spend most of your time visiting customers (70%), in addition you like to approach new customers, you are in regular contact with existing relations and of course you make sure that all this is administratively maintained & processed.

Who are you?
- You have hbo working and thinking level with at least 5 years of experience in a B2B sales role in field sales.
- You have a keen interest in the technology surrounding energy transition and sustainability, you are up to date with the latest developments;
- You think like an entrepreneur: you go full steam ahead for results, take initiative and seize every opportunity with both hands
- You possess driving license B (you will drive an Intercel electric car);
- You are communicatively strong, you know how to switch effortlessly in conversations. You know how to find out wishes in a customer-oriented way;
- You have an excellent command of both the Dutch and English languages. Being proficient in a third language such as French or German is an advantage.
